Reverberation Reduction for Theatre by using Megasorber FM Plush Velvet Acoustic Panels

La Trobe University wished to reduce reverberation noise in its Agora Theatre to improve the theatre's acoustics. The Agora Theatre is a historic
building situated at the heart of the University’s centre precinct. It is used for presentations, seminars, conferences and performances. It
is also the largest lecture room at La Trobe University, with a capacity of 450.
Architectural and Acoustic Requirements
Functionality: must meet with theatre acoustic design requirements.
Appearance must be aesthetically pleasing with a unique design of coloured panels.
Must be cost effective and simple to install.
Theatre Soundproofing Solution
Soundproofing product specified and used: Megasorber FM25F plush velvet acoustic panels
These sound-absorbing panels are 25mm thick, have a covered edge finish and are available in 48 colours. Black, orange and ruby red were chosen
for this soundproofing project.
