Features
Megasorber PNG8 is an 8mm thick self-supporting acoustic board consisting of an unique acoustically tuned fireproof sound absorbing facing (Megasorber Soundmesh® G8) and environmentally friendly acoustic polyester-wool.
Megasorber PNG8 has BCA (Building Code of Australia) Group 2 Classification with Average Specific Extinction Area less than 250 m2/kg.
The Soundmesh® G8 facing material has high temperature resistance up to 550°C and Building Code Australia (BCA) Group 1 Fire Classification. Traditional fireproof faced materials and sound reflecting film facings (such as aluminium foil, mylar film and polyurethane film) have little or zero acoustic properties and block noise from being absorbed by the underlying polyester. In contrast, Soundmesh® G8 has been engineered and tuned to maximise the sound absorption. As a result, Megasorber PNG8 provides exceptional high sound absorption at low to mid frequencies.
Megasorber PNG8 has exceptional sound absorption capacity and high durability in hot and humid conditions (long service life) over conventional fibre-based and foam-based acoustic materials. It also has a protective, tough, durable and easy to clean surface.
Standard facing colours: white (WH), black (BK), grey (GR) and sandstone (SS).
