Specialty Adhesive: Megasorber A200

High-Tack and High-Temperature Resistant Adhesive

Features

High-Tack, High-Temperature Resistant AdhesiveMegasorber A200 is a high-tack and high-temperature resistant adhesive utilizing the latest polymer-alloy technology. It is a one-component moisture-cured adhesive.

Megasorber A200 adhesive is free of solvent, isocyanate, PVC and silicones. It is natural, odourless and fast curing. It has 0% VOC.

Megasorber A200 adhesive has a temperature resistance up to 200°C (short-term exposed for 10 minutes) once cured. It forms extremely strong bond once fully cured and mechanical method has to be used in order to remove it.

This adhesive has very good UV-resistance and aging resistance.

Available in cartridges or sausages.

Installation Instructions

Surface Preparation

The surface has to be clean and free of dust, oil and grease. Clean surface with Megasorber AC5 Adhesive Cleaner, acetone or isopropanol (IPA).

Application Instructions

The information below is a typical guidance only for installing Megasorber P panel with A200.

1. Bead size: the recommended bead size is 12mm as a minimum, with the V groove facing down. Caution: if the bead size is too small, the adhesive may not have sufficient green strength (initial grab) to hold the panels in position before being fully cured.

2. For porous materials: the adhesive bead must be in firm contact with the material.

3. The recommended coverage is one tube (290ml) per 1.2m x 1.2m (about 1.5m2) panel as a minimum and one sausage of 1.2m x 2.4m (about 3m2). However, we recommend conducting an adhesion test to determine the exact amount adhesive that needed for the product and the actual application.

4. Adhesive application: it is recommended that the adhesive is applied in a straight line near the edges and in circles near the middle. A schematic drawing is shown below for a 1.2m x 1.2 panel:

Adhesive application

Adhesive application example
Application example: A200 adhesive on 1.2m x 2.4m panel

5. After the application of A200 adhesive, the panel must be installed within 7 minutes.

6. Installing the panel: apply the panel onto the substrate and press the panel firmly (firm hand pressure) against the substrate. The panel can be repositioned within 7 minutes.

Application Guns

A battery power sausage gun is recommended for large projects. The product can also be applied with a manual application gun.

Cleaning

  • Cleaning uncured sealant immediately with grain paper / sand paper, Megasorber AC5 Adhesive Cleaner, acetone or isopropanol (IPA).
  • Cleaning of cured sealant: remove by a mechanical method.
