Cost-effective sound proofing & noise insulation solutions

Acoustic Insulation & Sound Insulation

Sound Insulation, Acoustic InsulationMegasorber offers an extensive range of acoustic insultation products for cost-effective solutions to noise and vibration control. Our products are engineered, tested and manufactured in Australia with globally sourced materials.

Below are our key sound insultation products. Talk to us about our full range of soundproofing materials which can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

Sound Absorbers

Sound is absorbed by porous materials. The porous material must not be too 'open' or 'closed' to catch the sound wave. Megasorber absorption products use multiple sound-absorption mechanisms to maximize the total absorption capacity. In addition, Megasorber employs the patented Soundmesh G8 acoustic facing to further enhance the sound absorption capacity of its products.

Noise Barriers

In the past, lead was one of the best noise barriers available due to its flexibility and denseness. Due to health and environmental concerns, however, lead is rarely used these days. Megasorber noise barriers are formulated to give the same performance as lead but without the expense, and health and environmental impact.

Soundproofing Absorber-Barrier Composites

Through years of research and development, Megasorber has successfully developed a special range of soundproofing composite materials. Combined with the Megasorber sound absorption techniques and the specially designed decoupling layer, Megasorber soundproofing composites provide a sound transmission loss well above the mass-law prediction.

Vibration Isolators

Megasorber isolation materials stop the transmission of vibration energy from the source to the structure. The vibration energy is cut off by providing soft, yet tuned, isolation between the source and the structure, thus reducing noise.
