Architectural Soundproofing Requirements

Attractive, fireproof soundproof panels that could easily be cut and installed for an architecturally designed ceiling were required for a church hall.

Soundproofing Solution

Megasorber P50WR-WH (white facing) and Megasorber P50WR-SS (sandstone facing) met these requirements and were applied to the ceiling with special grade adhesive.

The Megasorber P Range of acoustic panels has BCA (Building Code of Australia) Group 2 Classification with Average Specific Extinction Area less than 250 m2/kg.

The unique acoustic facing material, Soundmesh G8, has BS 476 Part 4 "Non-combustible" classification, BCA Group 1 Fire Classification and ISO 5660 Group 1 Fire Classification. It has high temperature resistance up to 550°C.
